Used Car: The Used Car Experience
The road to the used car buying experience is paved with good intentions, at least on your part. We all love the feeling of getting a new or newer car, but the experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
How can a great feeling get trumped by a bad experience? It s not your fault, or is it.
Many people have bad credit yet it seems that all of the car dealerships advertise guaranteed credit approval or Mr. Yes s credit center. There is one in every town, sometimes two or three. How is it that all these dealerships cater to the same customer, yet they co-exist?
The answer is simple: It makes money. Not just good money, but a lot of money. It seems that those with poor and bad credit allow themselves to be taken advantage of. The feeling and thought is that no one else will touch them, no one else will get them finaced, Why?Everyone says they can get you approved, what makes one particular dealership different than the rest?
The proof is in the pudding, especially the BBB flavor. Shopping for the right dealership is just as important as finding the right car. Planning to buy a car is more beneficial than rushing to buy a car. You need to know about the place you will purchase from. Is it reputable, how many BBB complaints do they have, how is the selection? These are things to take into consideration when planning a purchase.
The dealers prey on people who have low self esteem when it comes to their credit. The art of the car sell is based on emotion. To someone who constantly gets turned down for any kind of loan or credit, getting an approval from a dealer is somewhat rewarding. It is flattering that you are actually good enough to be considered approved. The actual deal doesnt matter, the emotion and feelings are what takes over. To combat this, you have to realize that choices exist and if the deal isnt good then walk away. Also plan your budget, you should know how much to spend.
Half of the purchase is the sales game. Be prepared, be knowledgeable. You wont feel ripped off and you might even have a pleasant experience.
